Uses

How to Use

The other common way to take this medicine is in powder form.  Empty the powder contents into a glass with one tablespoon or half an ounce of water.  Stir until it is combined then leave the mixture set for two or three minutes until it becomes thick.  Stir again then consume all the contents within 30 minutes.  If any remains in the glass when you are done, add a little more water to finish the medicine immediately.  It is important to ensure you get the correct dosage of your prescription.

Side Effects

The more common side effects are things such as headaches, dizziness, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea and rashes.  Other less common symptoms to watch for are muscle pain, leg cramps, weakness, abnormal heartbeat, nervousness and water retention.

Other symptoms such as heartburn combined with sweating, dizziness or the feeling of light headiness, shoulder, jaw or chest pain, any trouble breathing or pain that seems to be spreading to your neck, shoulders or arms should be reported immediately to your doctor.  Such side effects could be symptoms of something more serious.

Storage

Nexium should always be stored in an airtight container at room temperature, between 15 to 30 degrees C or 59 to 86 degrees F.

Pregnancy

The use of Nexium during pregnancy has not been tested.  It is advisable that you tell your doctor if you are pregnant or are intending to become pregnant.  It is also not known how Nexium reacts with breast milk and nursing mothers.  There have been no adequate evaluations done on if Nexium could harm an unborn child.
