Canadian pharmacists becoming more involved in the doctor-patient exchange
While many individuals purchase cheap medication from Canada online, some people also consider traveling to the country to seek medical treatments, since Canadian practitioners have built a strong reputation on their innovative approaches to patient care.

According to the Ottawa Citizen, the IMPACT initiative has bolstered Canada's status as a reliable and affordable source for prescription medication. This project allows more pharmacists to work directly with physicians when they are prescribing medication. Thus, patients can be ensured that they are receiving the best treatment that is available on the market.
One of the pharmacists who takes part in this collaborative approach is Barbara Farrell, who was recently named Pharmacist of the Year by the Canadian Pharmacists Association, the media outlet reported.
Farrell told the news provider that the pharmacist-doctor relationship is key in making sure that patients do not have to try a handful of different medications before finding something that is effective.
"They’ve experienced what we call a prescribing cascade," Farrell said about the traditional doctor-centric system of prescribing medication, quoted by the news source. "In a lot of cases, their drug has been prescribed, caused a side effect, another drug is prescribed to treat the side effect, and that goes on and on."
Pharmacists have also worked hard to ensure that patients all over the world can receive cheap medication from Canada. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, many neighborhood pharmacies in Missouri have closed as a result of cheaper medication prices in Canada as well as the growing popularity of Canadian online pharmacies.
