Millions of Americans buy Lipitor to reduce their chances of experiencing a heart attack. Because prescription medications can be expensive in the U.S., countless shoppers rely on Canadian online pharmacies for significant discounts on the products they need in order to achieve optimal heart health.
Recently, a paper published in the current issue of the journal Cardiology revealed that a heart rate reduction drug called ivabradine may also reduce the risk of heart failure and cardiac fibrosis.
Lead author Jean-Claude Tardif and his colleagues published the paper, which is entitled "Heart Rate Reduction by Ivabradine Reduces Diastolic Dysfunction and Cardiac Fibrosis," and discusses the effectiveness of the product in addressing diastolic dysfunction of the left ventricle. This condition affects an estimated 40 percent of patients who have experienced heart failure.
"The effectiveness of ivabradine in treating angina pectoris is now well known," the team explained. "However, few treatments are available. The beneficial effects of ivabradine demonstrated in the laboratory suggest that this course of treatment should be further investigated."
