"These findings are important because the risk of stroke in patients with NVAF increases significantly with the presence of comorbidities, such as diabetes or hypertension."
The drug was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration last October after successful results showed that it positively impacted patients with systemic embolism and other heart-related ailments.
