Researchers announce the availability of testosterone replacement therapy option in pharmacies

As men grow older, they must take greater steps in order to ensure their health and well-being. Paying attention to their prostate health is key, and many buy Flomax to treat any enlargement in the gland. They must also keep a close eye on their testosterone levels, which need to be treated promptly if they dip too low.
Eli Lilly and Company recently announced that Axiron, a topical prescription medication to treat abnormally low testosterone levels, will be available for purchase from pharmacies. The solution was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration last November, and is the first and only hormone replacement therapy that can be applied to men's underarms.
"Currently, healthcare professionals and patients have access to topical testosterone treatment options that are applied to various areas of the skin," said lead researcher Ronald Swerdloff. "Axiron offers a new application method for patients to apply testosterone to the underarm using an applicator."
The drug is designed to offset the harmful effects of testosterone deficiency, which occurs when the pituitary gland has been diseased or damaged.
Patients who purchase such a treatment from a Canadian internet pharmacy may be able to save a great deal of money.
