The prevalence of diabetes has increased significantly over the years due to poor diet and lack of exercise. Type 2 diabetics may buy Actos to manage their condition, and may find significant discounts on this drug by purchasing through a Canadian online pharmacy. Insulin control lies at the heart of the disease, and a team of scientists from the University of Manchester has recently explored treatments that may address this concern.
Lead author Karen Cosgrove and her colleagues studied congenital hyperinsulinism (CHI), in which the body's pancreas produces too much insulin. Because this is the opposite problem faced by diabetics - who cannot produce enough of the hormone - the researchers believe that learning more about this ailment may lead to breakthroughs in diabetes treatments.
Cosgrove explained that a small group of proteins is responsible for the regulation of insulin release. Failure to function may result in either too little or too much of the compound.
"Our group was the first to show how these gene defects led to uncontrolled insulin release," Cosgrove said. "Now we have proven that it is possible to correct defects in the rogue cells."
This may be good news for patients with the disorder. In the meantime, those with type 2 diabetes may be able to buy Actos at a reasonable price from a Canadian online pharmacy.
