Prostate cancer is a major concern for men in the U.S., many of whom buy Flomax to treat any enlargement in the gland. Those who want to save money on such treatments may be able to do so by purchasing cheap medication from Canada. The availability of reasonably priced drugs has increased over the years, as scientists continue to develop new, effective remedies for the condition.
According to a team of researchers at the Van Andel Research Institute in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a new theory may lead to the creation of powerful medications to fight prostate cancer.
Lead investigator Cynthia K. Miranti and her colleagues set out to investigate a mechanism that controls changes in cells of the prostate gland. They proposed that errors during this alteration process may lead to the development of cancer, a cause-and-effect situation that has been seen before in illnesses such as leukemia.
"Very little is known about how prostate cancer initially arises, and our studies will help answer that question," Miranti explained. "We could use our findings to design treatments that would greatly reduce the aggressiveness of the cancer."
In the meantime, patients should speak to their doctors if they experience any changes in prostate health. Clinicians may recommend that they buy Flomax to treat any enlargement of the gland.
