Before you start taking ACTOS, tell your doctor if you:
Have heart failure
Have liver problems
Have a type of diabetic eye disease that causes swelling in the back of the eye
Have Type 1 diabetes or had diabetic ketoacidosis
Are a premenopausal woman
Are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed
Are pregnant or plan to become pregnant
Tell you doctor if you experience:
Swelling or fluid retention, especially in the ankles or legs
Shortness of breath or trouble breathing, especially while laying down
Unusually fast weight gain
A side effect that bothers you or does not go away
